The HID Omnikey® 5027 USB reader has been specially designed to maximise the potential of existing access control cards by enabling them to go further than simple physical access control.

Using this reader, you can allow strong authentication to computers, network or cloud applications.

This reader works with 13.56 MHz credentials, including iCLASS®, MIFARE® and DESFire® technology and features an integrated cryptographic module which allows the reader to interact with enhanced system security like iCLASS Seos®, iCLASS Elite® and iCLASS SE®.

If you are looking for easy, straightforward integration then this is a great choice of reader. Using keyboard wedge functionality, you are able to simply integrate the reader with your existing setup. Data on the card is able to be retrieved and transformed for direct input into applications using keystroke emulation. This makes integration not only simpler but much faster due to the increased automation and reduction of manual processes.

The Omnikey 5027 is supplied preconfigured and can be used out of the box in most cases utilising a native Human interface driver, which eradicates the need for driver installation and can be used with a standard PC as well as alongside thin- and zero clients.
